Compatible payment components (Ensure that you are using these versions or greater)

This version can be installed over a previous MD 7.8 version. If you are installing this version over 7.5 you will be required to order a new license.

Important: All software releases should be validated in a lab environment before installing any release into a live site.  This testing should consider the customer configuration and data to ensure proper operation in any given live environment.

1. New tender types
   

The system now allows the configuration of a tender type for WeChat Pay

1. Payment information for Pre-Orders 
   

The system will now store any payment information provided for a pre-order imported through the online ordering interface. That payment information will be applied to the order once the system converts it to an order on the specified day.

POS General Operation

4. When configured to use credit card pre-authorization and finalizing the payment from the table verification screen, the system will now return to the table verification screen when a communication error occurred with the payment terminal. (CRM: None, WI: LP-1307)
   

Online Ordering Interface (MDProxy)

6. The system will now accept the tender type 49 (Receivable) to be applied on an online order transaction. The system will validate the existence of the provided folio and available credit before accepting the order request. (CRM None, WI: LP-1121)
   
7. The system will now automatically add included items required by modifiers. (CRM None, WI: LP-871) 

*Breaking change: An Online ordering System that already provides the included item through the order may see the system order the included item twice. 

8. With a system configured with VAT, the printed receipt total will not display the correct amount in the case that a VAT rate of 0% is used. (CRM None, WI: LP-1201)
   
9. When closing an Online Order with partial payment (like a gift card) thru a PATD device. The amount displayed on the terminal will now show the remaining amount due of the check. (CRM: None, WI: LP-1584, LP-1589)
