This version can be installed over a previous MD 7.8 or 7.9 version. If you are installing this version over 7.5, you will be required to order a new license.

POS general operations

  1. When using the combo detection system on items with a kitchen hold time, the system will no longer print both positive and negative items on the check. (Reference: MD-2419)
  2. When wasting an upsized item, the system will now waste the appropriate quantity. (Reference: MD-2512)
  3. When using the options “Separate coupon by customer” and “Compile main items,” the system will now print separate kitchen chits. (Reference: MD-2628)

Online Ordering Interface (MDProxy)

  1. The system will now correctly retry importing an external order after a previous import failure. (Reference: MD-2619)
  2. When importing orders through the Online Order Interface, the system will now correctly calculate the tip amount based on the payment surplus if no tax or tip information is provided with the order. (Reference: MD-2703, MD-2640)
  3. When importing an online order that includes discounts and tips, the system will now correctly print the tip amount on the check. (Reference: MD-2672)
  4. When voiding an order through the Online Order Interface, the printer output will now correctly align and print negative values. (Reference: MD-2463)
  5. The system will now correctly import pre-orders that contain unavailable items without creating multiple empty orders. (Reference: MD-2733)

Quebec Sales Recording Module (SRM)   

  1. When performing a table 0 void, the previous check selection screen will no longer flash if the inactivity timeout is reached. (Reference: MD-2462)
  2. When removing all items from table 0, the table will no longer remain open. (Reference: MD-2694)
  3. The system will no longer remove the configured MEV option in certain circumstances. (Reference: MD-2711)

Advanced UI

  1. No errors will now prevent the shutdown of the POS station. (Reference: MD-1251)

Workarounds and known issues

The Void Table function is no longer available when using WEB-SRM; instead, use the Void Check functionality from the CMD menu. (Reference: MD-2093)
