This version can be installed over a previous MD 7.8 or 7.9 version. If you are installing this version over 7.5, you will be required to order a new license.

New feature additions

Datacap dsiEMVUS – Control the Amount Acknowledgement Prompt

You can now control whether the PIN pad managed by dsiEMVUS prompts the cardholder to acknowledge the transaction amount.
By default, the system prompts for all acknowledgements.
This setting can be modified in the EFT Protocol Configuration page under the Operation section.


Available options:   
  1. None: The PIN pad will prompt the cardholder for all acknowledgements.
  2. Transaction: The PIN pad will not prompt the cardholder to approve the transaction amount.
  3. Transaction & Tip: The PIN pad will not prompt the cardholder to confirm the amount before or after a tip entry.

France fiscal implementation (NF525

  1. The payment receipt is now included in the archive. (Reference: MD-2396)
  2. The print count for duplicate receipts now increments correctly. (Reference: MD-2403)
  3. Duplicate receipts now display the reprint time. (Reference: MD-2404)
  4. Duplicate checks now display the reprint time. (Reference: MD-2579)

POS general operations

  1. When reprinting a closed PATT receipt, the tender type will now display the correct description. (Reference: MD-2569)
  2. The system will now allow adding value to an Accounts Receivable card using a magnetic stripe reader. (Reference: MD-1090)

Online Ordering Interface (MDProxy)

  1. The system will now print the check received from the Online Ordering Interface, even when the “closeInvoice” option is set to true. (Reference: MD-1639)
  2. Importing orders through the online order interface will now correctly calculate the tip amount based on the payment surplus if no tax or tip information is provided with the order. (Reference: MD-2700)

Electronic Funds Transfer

  1. With non-integrated payments, when voiding the payment status on a check with multiple payments, the system now allows the total payment amount to be modified. (Reference: MD-1971)
  2. When using PC-EFTPOS, the system will now correctly process payments for paid-ins or when selling a gift certificate. (Reference: MD-754)
  3. Tip information will now be correctly printed on the check receipt. (Reference: MD-2586)
  4. When using the Void CCA Status operation, the system will now correctly report the tender type used. (Reference: MD-2622)

Quebec Sales Recording Module (SRM)   

  1. When using E-Global, the system will no longer require a certificate. (Reference: MD-2105)
  2. The system will now print the customer receipt when the tender type is configured with the “Customer Receipt” option. (Reference: MD-2457)
  3. The system will now allow the referenced check to be selected when performing a table 0 void on a check that was transferred to another waiter. (Reference: MD-2461)
  4. The system will now print the closing receipt for walk-out record keeping. (Reference: MD-2464)
  5. The system will now correctly print the discount on the check for scale items. (Reference: MD-2560)
  6. The printing of the check has been revised when using the Order function. (Reference: MD-2624)
  7. The “Inquiry by Check” screen will now correctly display the tax numbers. (Reference: MD-2382)
  8. If all items on a table are voided, the table will now close correctly when the user presses the Print button. (Reference: MD-2625)
  9. The local workstation will no longer block the processing of online orders if a WEB-SRM error occurs. (Reference: MD-2412)
  10. The system will now correctly print a modifier with a price when ordered through a free item on the check. (Reference: MD-2597)
  11. The system will now send the correct tender type to prevent a WEB-SRM error when importing an online order with multiple checks. (Reference: MD-2638)
  12. Modifiers with the “Free on Check” function will now be printed on the check. (Reference: MD-2639)
  13. The system will now correctly perform a cancel check on a delivery order. (Reference: MD-2656)
  14. Importing an online order that includes discounts and tips will now correctly print the tip amount on the check. (Reference: MD-2671)

Advanced UI

  1. The Print Batch option in the EFT menu is now accessible. (Reference: MD-2587)
  2. When performing a credit card finalization (EMV US), the numeric keypad is now accessible to enter the amount. (Reference: MD-2552)
  3. For merchants offering catering, the new contract document type can now be used with the Advanced UI. (Reference: MD-2514)

Workarounds and known issues

The Void Table function is no longer available when using WEB-SRM; instead, use the Void Check functionality from the CMD menu. (Reference: MD-2093)
