This version can be installed over a previous MD 7.8 or 7.9 version. If you are installing this version over 7.5, you will be required to order a new license.

Important: All software releases should be validated in a lab environment before installing any release into a live site.  This testing should consider the customer configuration and data to ensure proper operation in any given live environment.

Back Office

  1. The Maitre'D Utility Center can now be launched correctly. (Reference: MD-2106)
  2. The system will automatically re-fetch the remote license if the local copy becomes corrupted. (Reference: MD-2117)
  3. The system will automatically ignore backdating errors that may occur when other processes on the main computer modify the system time. (Reference: MD-2387)
  4. The system will now send up to 30 characters to the ACCPAC interface for the invoice number entered during merchandise reception. (Reference: MD-1493)

Property Management System Interface

  1. When using the Opera PMS interface, the system will send guest check details to the PMS when closing the check from the reading screen. (Reference: MD-2371)

POS general operations

  1. The “Close check receipt” option will now function as expected when not using an SRM module. (Reference: MD-2276)
  2. When printing QR codes on non-native printers, the single density codes (1B2A01, 1B2A20) can now be used in the printer configuration. (Reference: MD-2310)
  3. When voiding a single payment on a check and replacing it with multiple payments including a gift card, the system will now display the correct amount per tender. (Reference: MD-1509)
  4. When using the “Compile Main Items” print option for logical printers, the system will now also print any modifier linked to the main item. (Reference: MD-2306)
  5. The “Close all trays” function will now work as expected when cash rounding is enabled. (Reference: MD-2397)
  6. The system will now allow the use of the external gift card protocol without having to select an EFT protocol. (Reference: MD-1952)

Online Ordering Interface (MDProxy)

  2. The system will now correctly void included items when a void request is received via the online ordering interface. (Reference: MD-2227)
  3. If an order is no longer tracked by the online ordering system, users will now be able to close that order without encountering a locking error. (Reference: MD-2428)
  4. The order number assigned to pre-orders has been adjusted. (Reference: MD-2353)
  5. Now, when configuring “AlternatedPreOrder” in the bo.ini file, the system will correctly use the “PrintPos” received through the interface. (Reference: MD-2416)

Quebec Sales Recording Module (SRM)   

  1. The “Parti sans payer” option has been moved to the end of the option list on the print check screen. (Reference: MD-2181)
  2. When a driver closes a delivery order with multiple checks, they will be asked to confirm the tender type for each check. (Reference: MD-2326)
  3. Resolved a WEB SRM error that occurred in specific circumstances when closing a delivery order after voiding a check from another order. (Reference: MD-2376)
  4. The information sent to the WEB-SRM has been adjusted in cases where a discounted check is paid via a PATT device. (Reference: MD-2431)
  5. The system will now correctly manage the transfers of WEB-SRM-related files even when the “Use Folder Share for Printing” option is not used. (Reference: MD-2251)
  6. The printout for check 2 will no longer print a check every time an item is ordered. (Reference: MD-2308)

  2. When performing a room charge, the numeric keypad will now appear on top so the user can input the charge amount. (Reference: MD-1960)
  3. The server button present on various screens will now correctly display the keypad to directly enter the waiter number. (Reference: MD-2238, MD-2363)
  4. With the ITC meal plan interface, the user can now select the account returned by the badge query to apply the charge. (Reference: MD-2299)
  5. The system will now correctly display the list of punches when performing a Time Card Adjustment. (Reference: MD-1990)
  6. Delivery information can now be correctly captured when using the onscreen keyboard. (Reference: MD-2098)
  7. When using the dark theme, the table numbers on the floor plan will now be displayed in a more contrasting color. (Reference: MD-2041)

Workarounds and known issues
