Post Release information

PR 1.12.2 | 2025-04-28 (In Pilot)

  1. VelPay will now send the correct tax value to the payment App (SPA) when running with version 9.77.15 to display the limited tip screen, ensuring compliance with Quebec's Bill 72. (LP-5721)
            The 'Use client tip entry' option should be unchecked at the workstation level. The terminal will display a limited tip screen where customers can choose to enter a custom tip amount or no tip at all

New feature additions

  1. Support for tip calculation based on the pre-tax total
  2. UI improvements for a better user experience in both light and dark modes.
  3. All buttons on the tip screen, including the No Tip button, are now the same size.
  4. Two lines for questions can now be configured to display at the top of the tip screen pages
  5. A breakdown of the subtotal, tax, and tip will be displayed for better visibility for customers.
  6. The Pay button can now be removed from the main tip screen. When the user selects a tip option, they will be directly redirected to the payment screen.

Pay button display

The Pay button can now be removed from the main tip screen. When a tip option is selected, the user will be automatically redirected to the payment screen. By default, the Pay button is enabled, but a BO user can modify this setting at any time.

Point of sales control > Departments > Select department > Configuration

Tip calculated on pre-tax total

BO user can enable tip to be calculated on pre-tax Total Setup/Utilities > System Config. > Tip
