This version can be installed over a previous Veloce version. 
Important: All software releases should be validated in a lab environment before installing any release into a live site. This testing should consider the customer configuration and data to ensure proper operation in any given live environment.

Post Release information

PR 9.77.12

  1. The system now prints the manual closed batch report from the Secure Payment App on the configured printer. (References: LP-4251)
  2. The system now performs auto batch close at the expected time with the Secure Payment App. (References: LP-4254)
  3. Reprinting the last batch report from the Secure Payment App will now print the correct report. (References: LP-4256)
  4. Printing the list of transaction from the Secure Payment App will now print the expected report. (References: LP-4257)
  5. Requesting the batch balance from the Secure Payment App will now prints the correct report. (References: LP-4258)  

PR 9.77.11

      VelPay 1.9.4 is required  
When using the Freebees integration, Windows 7 workstations are no longer compatible.
  1. With Connect&GO, when deleting a benefit on an order that has multiple benefits, the system now removes the correct benefit. (References: LP-4069, LP-3814)
  2. Connect&GO benefits validation has been enhanced to consider the item category. (Reference: LP-4066)
  3. You can now specify the Cashless ID for Connect&GO. (Reference: LP-3992)
  4. Tax calculation is now adjusted for inclusive calculation when using Connect&GO benefits. (Reference: LP-4042)
  5. Applying a 100% discount will now correctly adjust the applied taxes in the system. (Reference: LP-3874)
  6. When using the VelMIX LC, the system will no longer reset the device at regular intervals when multiple sections are used. (References: LP-4065, LP-4026)
  7. The void transaction process has been adjusted when applying credit card surcharges with tip. (LP-3839)   

PR 9.77.9

  1. System now employs HTTPS protocol for all Freebees communication. Reference (LP-3943) 
  2. QRPay interface now receives correct discount information, ensuring accurate presentation to customers. Reference (LP-3873)     
  3. The system now properly handles items poured simultaneously, with a VelMIX LC device, into the same sections, ensuring accurate management. Reference (LP-3880)

PR 9.77.8

  1. Options have been added so that when adding a discount or gratuity the system does not automatically reprint the check and requires the waiter can hit the print button to have the check reprinted once all gratuity and discounts are applied. The reprint options are located in “Setup / Utilities \ Configuration \ System Configuration \ Invoice printing (general)”. Reference (LP-3838)  
  2. A total tip line has been added to the POS Back-Office Employee report. Reference (LP-3853) 
  3. The system can be configured so that no password is required when transferring tips to another employee. The option “Give tip without asking employee’s password” is located in “Setup / Utilities \ Configuration \ System Configuration \ Tips”.  Reference (LP-3857) 
  4. When looking at previous day invoices the taxes amounts are now displayed correctly. Reference (LP-3861)   
  5. Now when using BarTab, the system will allow an employee to close his Z report if no BarTabs are assigned to them. Reference (LP-3858)   
  6. When trying to close a BarTab from another workstation, the system will now prompt the waiter to use the appropriate workstation and keep the BarTab open. Reference (LP-3897)   

PR 9.77.7

  1. When an employee code is added as a prefix to the barcode reader and a check barcode is scanned on the login page, the system will now open the corresponding check.(Reference: LP-2627)
  2. The configuration for "Duplicate transaction management" as been removed from the "Electronic funds transfer" module and is now always enable. (Reference: LP-3754)

PR 9.77.6

  1. The system will now filter the benefits returned by the Connect&GO interface so that only the ones applicable will be displayed. (Reference: LP-3757)
  2. Now the system will apply the benefits returned by the Connect&GO interface to the item of the specified division. (Reference: LP-3755)

PR 9.77.5

  With VelMIX LC
  1. The system will correctly update the pouring quantity when ordering the same item that is simultaneously getting poured. 
  2. Now when ordering items using a quantity the system will pour the correct number of items.
  3. Now the same product can be ordered multiple times in a row, and the system will pour the correct quantity. 
  4. You can now calibrate bar products that have an ID over 255.

PR 9.77.4

  1. The "Duplicate transaction management" option will now be set to "Repost to POS by default. (Reference: LP-3675)

New feature additions

  1. Duplicate transaction management with PayFacto payment

Now the POS system can be configured to reduce the cases of duplicated payment transactions that can occur if there is any sort of communication error between the payment terminal and the POS.  
The option can be enabled on the EFT configuration page

Select the option "Repost to POS".

The option Auto-Void is not available in this version.

Now when the payment terminal could not transmit the approved response to the POS. Simply redo the transaction from the same POS, and the payment terminal will detect that this transaction was already processed and return the previous result without reprocessing the customer's card.

Back Office

  1. The system will now include all employees when generating the timecard report. (Reference: LP-3587)

QRPay interface

  1. The system will now send the name of the popup items to the interface. (Reference: LP-3563)

EFT & VelPay

  1. Now the option “Employee name on transaction”, located on the “Operation” page in the “Electronic funds transfer” module, will print the employee name on the payment receipt. (Reference: LP-3238)

POS General Operation

  1. Now when performing tip adjustment transactions, the system will use the surcharge values to correctly calculate the tip amount. (Reference: LP-3124, LP-3190, LP-3452)
  2. Tax calculation is now adjusted for VAT calculation after the application of discounts. (Reference: LP-3536)
  3. When activating the customer-facing confirmation screen, the system will now adjust the font size for the screen with a higher resolution. (Reference: LP-3583)

Workarounds and known issues

  1. Double printing of reports

It is possible that after the upgrade to this version, the payment transaction and batch report print on both the payment terminal and the POS. 
This situation can be simply corrected by turning off the option “Print ECR mode transactions?” located under “Printer Options” in the PayFacto payment application.

  1. Report on A80 shows wrapped lines

It is possible that when printing a batch report on an A80, some words will be wrapped on the second line. 

  1. Pre-authorization (US Market)

If using VelPay for pre-authorizations, the tokenization needs to be enabled with TSYS.

Windows version compatibility with first generation SRM  (Quebec)

A problem has been detected and reported by Revenu Quebec wherein the latest Windows 11 version 22H2 update does not support the TLS1.0 security protocol.
  
This protocol is used by the first-generation Sales Registration Module (SRM) (Blue) in TCP/IP mode. 

The new generation of SRM (black) are not affected and are compatible with Windows 11 22h2.

If you use the first-generation TCP/IP SRM (Blue) in your business, it is important not to install this Windows 11 Update.

It is possible to uninstall this Windows Update and revert to the previous version in case it was applied accidentally. Here is a useful link that explains the procedure for downgrading in the Go back to your previous version of Windows section:
