New feature additions

  1. VelPay PATC mode

The system now supports the VelPay application to be configured to be used in PATC mode.
  1. Canadian support only
  2. Requires VelPay Application 1.5
  3. Supported devices:
    1. PAX A80
    2. PAX A920

            Back-Office configuration

To enable Veloce POS to use the VelPay in PATC mode select the “PayFacto Canada” protocol and “PAX Generic” in the “Electronic funds transfer” module.

Ensure that you uncheck “Gateway
On the “Operation” tab check “POSPAD reader” if support to read gift or loyalty cards is required.

This will enable the POS to use the card reader of the device to capture the gift or loyalty card information. If both the workstation and POSPAD reader are selected the reader of the device has priority.

In the workstation interface tab located in the “Point of sales control” module specify the IP address of the terminal.

The use of a static IP address is recommended as a pairing process will store and limit the communication to these IPs.

The tip entry screen can be configured by departments in the “Configuration” tab

      VelPay configuration

The Velpay device needs to be configured as a “Terminal” workstation type.

The listening port needs to be the same as configured on the workstation interface page.

      Pairing

Each VelPay PATC device needs to be paired with the POS terminal used to initiate the payment transaction.

  1. On the VelPay device touch “PAIR

  1. The device will enter pairing mode

  1. On the POS navigate to “Functions / EFT / Pospad
  2. Press “Pair”
  3. On the VelPay device touch “accept”
