VEL#052 - PAX A920 (VelPAX) Printers and Redirection Setup

It is possible to use the PAX A920 printer to print customer's receipts directly from the terminal.
(This option is not available for clients having the MEV(SRM) from Revenu Quebec)


Prerequisite:
      1. Version 9.55.8 +
      2. Veloce app on the PAX should be 1.1.1 +
      3. Printer function must be ON in the Veloce app settings


Backoffice Configuration


Create the PAX A920 physical printers

You need to create 1 printer in veloce for each PAX terminal you have. (If you have 10x A920, you'll need 10 different printers)

      Configuration
      Printers
            Select an available spot
            Enter a description (e.g : PAX #1)
            Connection: Connected on a workstation
            Model : *Pax A920
            Replaced by : Receipt or any other printer.

      Backoffice
      Point of sales control
      Workstation / Workstation's setup
      Select the PAX workstation

If you do not want the customer receipt to print directly on the PAX A920 but only the transaction receipts, you need to change the Printout#1 to redirect to another POS.
If you want the customer receipt to print on the A920 printer, leave the Printout#1 as Receipt

*Can chg. : This option is useful if you want to select on which POS you want to print the receipt, this way if you move the PAX A920, you can select on-the-spot where you want the receipt to print.





- Printers tab
  1.       Enable 'Coupon printer'
  2.       Select the PAX printer created at the last step
  3.       Connection: Modern App

If you enable Coupon printer, Veloce will now control the transaction receipt also. You MUST disable all printing options in the PayFacto application directly.

      1. Open the PayFacto application on the PAX A920 desktop
      2. Press on (+)
      3. Settings
      4. Enter merchant password
      5. Printing options
      6. Disable all options

If you don't follow these last steps, you'll always have 4 transactions receipts (2 from Veloce, 2 from PayFacto)


Select the printer to share

In case the Can chg. option is enable, we can select which printers we want to show on the list. (e.g : We do not want the kitchen printers to show up when we want to print a receipt on the PAX)

  1.       Backoffice
  2.       Setup / Utilities
  3.       Configuration
  4.       Printers
  5.       Select the printer
  6.       At the bottom, select the availability level
      
      Available : Will show in the printers list
      Preferred: Will show on the top of the list
      Not available : Won't show





Employee function

* Only for the receipt printer selection on the spot, you need to give access to employees.

      Invoicing tab
      Enable 'Printer selection'




Press and hold the 'Print' button for 2-3 seconds to get the list of printers showing up
