This version can be installed over a previous MD 7.8 or 7.9 version. If you are installing this version over 7.5, you will be required to order a new license.

Important: All software releases should be validated in a lab environment before installing any release into a live site.  This testing should consider the customer configuration and data to ensure proper operation in any given live environment.

New feature additions

    Customer Profile Token 

      The system will now store and export the Customer Profile Token that can be returned by the Canadian PayFacto payment application.

Removed features      

    Processing credit cards through a card reader directly on the POS

As of this version, Maitre’D will no longer allow using a magnetic stripe reader (MSR) on the POS to capture and process a payment card. All payments will need to be done thru a certified EMV device.

Issues Fixed

Reports

  1. The VOID report will now display the correct time when the void is done thru the Online Ordering Interface. (Reference: MD-169)
  2. The system will now report correctly discounts applied on divisions over 100. (Reference: MD-519)
  3. Now the system can generate a current-day report from an auxiliary server. (Reference: MD-565)

Back Office

  1. Now the Memoire File Analysis operation can be executed on all 7.08.000.430 databases. (Reference: MD-461)

POS general operations

  1. Now when picking items from a variable list, the flashing of the screen has been reduced. (Reference: MD-113)
  2. When creating a Pre-Order, the system will now load and process it at the requested time. (Reference: MD-158)
  3. Now when using the function Complete Order on the delivery dispatch screen, the system will close the check by adding a cash payment if needed. (Reference: MD-231)
  4. The remaining time displayed on the delivery dispatch screen is now accurate. (Reference: MD-379)
  5. When closing shifts for all workstations, the report now displays the information of the closed shift and not all of them. (Reference: MD-382)

Electronic Funds Transfer

  1. When using the DSI EMV US protocol with TSYS, the system will now correctly allow tip adjustment on all transactions. (Reference: MD-376)

Online Ordering Interface (MDProxy)

  1. The system will now correctly send the notification to the Online Order Interface in case an order is voided thru the interface. (Reference: MD-147)
  2. Now when changing the availability status of an item thru the copy function, the notification is sent correctly to the Online Order Interface. (Reference: MD-170)

Quebec Sales Recording Module (SRM)   

  1. The system will now only send a single RFER to the SRM even in case there is a configuration mismatch between the Back-Office and the workstations. (Reference: MD-480)

France Fiscal Implementation (NF525) 

  1.  The system can now be configured so the employee is offered if the receipt (ticket) is printed or not. (Reference: MD-557)

Maitre’D Mobile

  1. Now the employee language will be transmitted to the Maitre’D mobile device. (Reference: MD-508)
  2. The system can now call an item class inside a variable list. (Reference: MD-568)

HTML POS

  1. Now the floor plan editor in the back office uses the HTML interface (Reference: MHP-3)
  2. When selling a gift certificate, the system will now allow you to select the assigned employee.  (Reference: MHP-97)
  3. When selling a gift certificate, the system will allow you to enter the amount of the gift certificate. (Reference: MHP-122)
  4. The preferential screen editor will allow multiple selections when using the CTRL key. (Reference: MHP-131)
  5. Touching a blank button in the preferential screen editor will now allow you to create a new button. (Reference: MHP-130)
  6. The media button that is directly put on the order screen will now work properly. (Reference: MHP-120)
  7. Now a Paid In or  Paid Out transaction can be cancelled. (Reference: MHP-116)
  8. The "OVERLAPPING TIME" message will only be displayed when performing Time Clock Adjustments that overlap. (Reference: MHP-115)
  9. When Using Time Clock Adjustments on an employee that has not clocked out you will now have the OUT function to manually adjust the time clock. (Reference: MHP-113)
  10. You can now exit the table name screen. (Reference: MHP-91)
  11. Now when the order confirmation screen will correctly display the New item insertion line. (Reference: MHP-112)
  12. In the preferential screen editor, the buttons for items will now display the item ID. (Reference: MHP-121)
  13. You can now select the employee when doing a Server Transfer. (Reference: MHP-128)

Workarounds and known issues

Windows version compatibility with first generation SRM  (Quebec)

A problem has been detected and reported by Revenu Quebec wherein the latest Windows 11 version 22H2 update does not support the TLS1.0 security protocol.
  
This protocol is used by the first-generation Sales Registration Module (SRM) (Blue) in TCP/IP mode. 

The new generation of SRM (black) are not affected and are compatible with Windows 11 22h2.

If you use the first-generation TCP/IP SRM (Blue) in your business, it is important not to install this Windows 11 Update.

It is possible to uninstall this Windows Update and revert to the previous version in case it was applied accidentally. Here is a useful link that explains the procedure for downgrading in the Go back to your previous version of Windows section:
