This version can be installed over a previous MD 7.8 version. If you are installing this version over 7.5, you will be required to order a new license.

Important: All software releases should be validated in a lab environment before installing any release into a live site.  This testing should consider the customer configuration and data to ensure proper operation in any given live environment.

New feature additions

Added support for PAX A35 terminal 

      The system will now support the printer-less PAX A35 terminal.

      The “EMV EFT” menu on the workstation will provide the option to:
  1. Close the current batch of the current terminal or all terminals.
  2. Print the batch summary report
  3. Print the transaction report
  4. Print the last transaction receipt from the current terminal



      The batch can also be closed automatically during the End of Day process. This option can be activated on the operation page located in the “Electronic fund transfer” module.
      Enable the option “Close EMV PIN pad batch at EOD” and select the type of report to be printed.

Reports

  1. The “Weekly summary of clients” report will now show the customer count as expected. (Reference: LP-3403, LP-3414)

Back Office

  1. Now when sending sales information to the Fourth interface, the system will use the PLU number associated with the sales item. (Reference: LP-3348)
  2. The system will now use the provided date range to export the T&A punches to the Fourth interface.  (Reference: LP-3325)
  3. Now when executing MDDataTransfer.exe, all required files for the Fourth interface will be installed. (Reference: LP-2958)

POS general operations

  1. When “Cash Discount” is enabled, the system can now void a credit card transaction correctly. (Reference: LP-3373)
  2. When “Cash Discount” is enabled, the system can now modify a pre-auth on a multi-tender check correctly. (Reference: LP-3347)
  3. The system now allows you to void an item on a bar tab. (Reference: MD-78)
  4. When using a “Bar Tab”, the operator can now use the status screen to transfer items to another table. Transfer of items on the same table is not permitted when using a “Bar Tab”. (Reference: MD-77)

Self-Payment Interface

  1. Now the system will restrict access to the invoice during the time the invoice is printed on the workstation. (Reference: MD-129)
  2. The system will now ensure that the tender type used to apply the Self-Pay payment remains with the closed check. (Reference: MD-89)
  3. The interface now allows specifying “true” or “1” for the option “Skip” in the “WaiterNumber” tag. (Reference: MD-90)

Online Ordering Interface (MDProxy)

  1. Now the store identification number is embedded in the HTML header of the notification message that is sent to the online order provider. (Reference: LP-3316)

Electronic Funds Transfer

  1. The system will now recognize EFT plugins signed with the 2021 digital certificate. (Reference: LP-3372)

HTML POS

  1. It is now possible to activate a local gift card. (Reference: MHP-64)
  2. The system will now provide a print button when visualizing any report. (Reference: MHP-62, MPH-61)
  3. Now an exit button will allow you to return from the detailed report screen. (Reference: MHP-60)
  4. The message displayed on the POS home screen will now use the layout configured in the Back-Office. (Reference: MHP-59)
  5. The system will display the configured currency symbol when doing a punch adjustment. (Reference: MHP-52)
  6. Now the Receivable inquiry screen will be displayed using solid colors to increase readability.  (Reference: MHP-51)
  7. The user interface of the back-office screen editor has been improved. (Reference: MHP-46, MHP-45, MHP-44, MHP-43, MHP-42, MHP-49, MHP-48, MHP-47, MHP-50)
  8. The copy and paste functions on the screen editor have been improved. (Reference: MHP-41, MHP-40, MHP-39, MHP-38)
  9. Now the item description will be displayed on the POS without truncation. (Reference: MHP-57)
  10. When using the option “Folio” on a discount, the system will not prompt the user with the folio input screen. (Reference: MHP-139)
  11. When changing the item availability on the POS, the system will display unavailable items with a red background. (Reference: MHP-71)
  12. The system will display a progress feedback message for processes that need more time to complete. (Reference: MHP-69)
  13. Now it is possible to select any PO on the merchandise reception screen. (Reference: MHP-53)
  14. When performing a merchandise reception with the option “Without purchase order“ on the POS, the system will now allow the selection of the supplier. (Reference: MHP-66) 
  15. When adding an account to a merchandise reception PO, the system will now allow the selection of the account. (Reference: MHP-67)
  16. The date selector in the merchandise reception screen has been enlarged for easier interaction. (Reference: MHP-65)
  17. The Global and Driver dispatch report will now be previewed on screen. (Reference: MHP-63)
  18. The process to take a delivery order on the POS has been improved. (Reference: MHP-56, MHP-55, MHP-28, MHP-34, MHP-27)
  19. The system will now correctly apply the tender type selected on the order screen. (Reference: MHP-31)
  20. When finalizing an EFT payment, the system will now display the payment information. (Reference: MHP-35)
