Job Aid: Enable Functions Menu without Password

Introduction

By default, the SecureTable application requires a password to access the Settings page, where you access additional functionality. This document explains how to activate the Functions menu to provide access to certain functions without requiring a password.

Prerequisites

Before using the following procedure, make sure that you are using SecureTable version 4.67 or later.

Procedure

When you deactivate the password requirement described in the following procedure, the application changes in the following ways:

  1. The Settings icon () opens the Functions menu.
  1. To access the application’s Settings page, you need to touch the Configuration button and then enter the Administrator password.

To deactivate the password requirement to access the Functions menu:

  1. From the SecureTable main screen, touch Settings icon.
  2. Enter the Administrator password and touch OK.
  3. Touch Advanced Settings.
  4. Touch More settings.
  5. Scroll down the page to locate the Enable No-Password Menu.
  6. Toggle Enable No-Password Menu to On (). Three functions appear; these are available as part of the Functions menu.

  7. Toggle the desired functions to On so they appear in the Functions menu.
    NOTE: The functions you do not enable will not appear in the Functions menu but will be accessible through the application’s settings.
  8. Touch Save.

Usage

After you save your changes, the Functions menu appears when you touch the Settings icon. You can then access the displayed functions without requiring the Administrator password.


To access the application’s settings, you must touch the Configuration button and enter the Administrator password.
