PayFacto Gateway Quick Reference Guide

This section explains how to install, configure, and use the PayFacto Gateway application on Android-based terminals. The Gateway application allows third Party POS software to interact with the PayFacto payment terminal application.

Prerequisites

Before installing or using the PayFacto Gateway application, you must:

  1. Have an active payment terminal that uses the PayFacto application
  2.  Install and configure the PayFacto application on the terminal (should we include a reference to the A920 Quick Setup Guide?
  3. Ensure that the Gateway server recognizes the terminal’s Terminal ID (do we include a reference on who should be contacted to confirm that the terminal is configured on the Gateway server?)

NOTE : If you are not certain on which environment your terminal is, please call our customer service using 1-888-800 6622 or through an email to support@payfacto.com

Swipe to the left or touch the Next arrow.

On the Ready To Go page, touch FINISH to complete the configuration.

Using the Gateway App

Generally, the Gateway application starts automatically after the configuration procedure. If the Gateway application does not start automatically, you simply touch the Gateway PayFacto icon to start the app. When the app starts, it initiates communication with the authorization host. There are two possible results:

The Gateway screen displays a Connected message at the bottom.

The screen briefly displays a warning that the terminal is not configured on the server and the main screen displays a 201 Access refused error message.

If the screen displays the Connected message, congratulations, the Gateway is connected and ready to process payment transactions.

If the screen does not display the Connected message, please contact PayFacto to have the terminal configured on the server.

Inherited Terminal Information

When the Gateway application runs, it inherits the settings from the PayFacto payment processing application, including Terminal ID, Merchant password, and Administrator password. While the Gateway server exchanges information with the Gateway application, it uses the same configuration settings as the PayFacto application when it runs in standalone mode.
