STPI Secure Installation Process Overview

Installation process overview

Here is a quick overview of the entire installation and setup process:

  1. Install the latest version of Oracle’s Java Runtime Environment (JRE) for your operating system.
  2. Install the STPIClient software.
  3. Install the STPIClient license.
  4. Start the STPIClient application for the first time.
  5. Configure the STPIClient to start as a service (Optional).
  6. Configure your POS System.
  7. Connect, power up and configure your wireless payment terminals.

Before you begin

By default, the payment terminals using SecureTable will communicate with your POS system over TCP port 9999 on your WiFi network. Make sure this port is open in your corporate firewall as well as on the firewall installed locally on the POS System's main Back-Office and POS workstations. Also be sure that your WiFi network can communicate with the POS System and has access to the internet.
